Framing

Introduction

At Frodsham Frames we pride ourselves on providing a high quality framing service using only top quality materials.

All framing is carried out on the premises by husband and wife team Jeff and Julie Knowles.

Mouldings

We have access to over 500 mouldings so there's no problem finding something to meet your requirements.

Mountboard

We only use Neilsen-Bainbridge Alphamat Mountboard, one of the best in the industry. Most mountboard surfaces are dyed and fade when exposed to light. Alphamat mountboard surfaces are pigmented and as a result are highly resistant to fading.
Alphamat mountboards meet stringent conservation grade specifications, so you can be assured that your artwork will be protected to the highest standards.

Glass

We offer a wide variety of glass types from standard to those that provide reflection control and UV filtering.

Reflection Control:- Finely etched on one side only this glass provides excellent reflection control with little loss of light transmission.

Conservation Clear:- A low iron oxide clear glass with a fine coating on one side which filters out 99% of UV light, the light which causes fading.

Conservation Reflection Control:- A combination of the above two glass types. Finely etched on one side for reflection control and coated on the other side for UV filtering.

Denglass Waterwhite:- A low iron oxide optically coated glass that reduces reflection to a minimum without loss of light transmission and picture clarity.
